There are very few firms in the industry that have as much rich history as this team, let alone deep roots in California wine country since the 1960s. But pour another and enjoy the tale of a father starting out as a proudly local, reliable electrical contractor in 1968, with his son taking the helm in the 80s and growing the company into an unforgettable force of technological tastemakers.

The vision was always to be the best of the best (hence the name), and over time, Summit expanded well past electrical expertise to include engineering, audio, video, renewable energy systems and management, lighting design and more. This team takes great pride in being able to do anything and everything in a house when it comes to electric, technology and renewables — they call it “the total solution.” After a few beloved employees moved to Coeur D’Alene, Idaho, they were able to translate this “totality” almost 1000 miles north. Senior leadership back in California also fell in love with the equally idyllic landscape and community there and STG North was born.
